Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced that its Maputo/Mombasa India Middle East service (MIM) is increasing its sailing frequency from fortnightly to weekly.
The move which aims to boost trade volumes is effective from this year 2023 and results in the firm deploying additional vessels to the MIM service. The increased frequency will begin from the westbound sailing arriving at Jebel Ali on 20th January and the eastbound sailing from Mombasa on 31st January. The MIM service rotation remains unchanged as Jebel Ali, Mundra, Mombasa, Maputo, Jebel Ali.

The upgrade to a weekly sailing frequency is projected to provide greater flexibility and convenience for its customers in India, the Middle East and East Africa. The result of the integration of the container operations of three Japanese shipping carriers, namely K Line, NYK and MOL, ONE has also recently launched a new India Gulf Service (IGS) connecting Mundra, Hazira, Nhava Sheva and Jebel Ali, which enables a quicker and more stable connection and supports the rising trade demand between the two countries. The new IGS service rotation is weekly between Jebel Ali, Mundra, Hazira and Nhava Sheva.
