Nsano Ltd, a leading pan-African fintech company, has officially expanded its presence into East Africa by launching a regional office in Rwanda. This follows the company’s successful acquisition of Payment Aggregation and Payment Remittances Service Licenses (Category II and III) from the National Bank of Rwanda.
Moving the digital way
The company’s entry into Rwanda marks a significant step in its mission to enhance digital payment solutions across the continent. Nsano’s Group CEO, Priscilla Hazel, expressed appreciation for the National Bank of Rwanda’s transparent licensing process and highlighted Rwanda’s rapid growth as a technology hub. She emphasized that this expansion aligns with Nsano’s vision to become Africa’s top digital payment processor while fostering cross-market synergies to support customers.
Nsano has been gaining industry recognition, particularly following its recent collaboration with AFS in February, aimed at transforming card payments across Africa. Founded in Ghana in 2013, the company has grown from a value-added services (VAS) provider into a major player in the fintech space.
With operational hubs in Ghana, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, and the UK, Nsano’s payment processing services currently span over 30 countries. The company holds regulatory approvals from financial authorities, including the Bank of Ghana, the Central Bank of Zambia, and the National Bank of Rwanda.
