The seed funding round was led by Nama Ventures and A15, with participation from Sanabil 500 Global and prominent angel investors. The capital will be allocated toward expanding Nowlun’s market reach and refining its platform, which provides features like instant and transparent ocean freight rates, streamlined shipment management, and real-time cargo tracking.

Moataz Khamis, Nowlun’s CEO, highlighted his motivation for the startup, drawn from a decade of experience in logistics. He emphasized the team’s commitment to addressing inefficiencies in the industry through cutting-edge technology to simplify the shipping process.

“Throughout my decade in logistics, I’ve witnessed the daily inefficiencies shippers face. Driven by a sense of responsibility, my team and I are committed to transforming the industry using cutting-edge technology. This funding will empower us to further simplify the shipping process and make shippers’ lives easier,” said Moataz Khamis.

Mohammed Alzubi, founder and managing partner of Nama Ventures, praised Nowlun’s domain expertise, its traction in the Saudi market, and its vision for transforming the logistics space, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to lead this change. This funding positions Nowlun as a key player in modernizing logistics and freight forwarding in the MENA region.

“We were impressed by their deep domain expertise, strong traction in the Saudi market, and clear vision for disrupting the logistics space. We have no doubt that Nowlun has the right team to lead this transformation,” he said.
