Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services has expanded its operations by adding two new freighter destinations in India, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
Mission
The expansion brings the airline’s total number of destinations in India to six, complementing its existing services to New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore. The new routes will be serviced twice weekly. The move follows the airline’s recent network growth, which saw the addition of flights to London Gatwick in November last year, making it the third UK destination after Heathrow and Manchester. Ethiopian Cargo also expanded globally last year with routes between Xiamen, São Paulo, Santiago, Shenzhen, and Liège.
The airline continues to enhance its global cargo capacity, operating both belly cargo and dedicated freighter services to 135 destinations. Its freighter fleet includes 10 Boeing 777Fs, four 737-800Fs, and two 767-300Fs, with a third 767-300F undergoing conversion. Additionally, Ethiopian Cargo has committed to obtaining IATA’s CEIV Live Animals certification and has embraced digital booking through the cargo.one platform.
