This project is a segment of a broader 185 km rail network linking Relizane, Tiaret, and Tissemsilt, designed to bolster Algeria’s transportation infrastructure. The railway is slated for completion within 20 months and will accommodate passenger and freight trains traveling at speeds of up to 160 km/h.
This development aligns with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s vision to enhance national connectivity, promote economic opportunities, and strengthen integration between Algeria’s northern and southern regions. Local authorities emphasized strict adherence to project timelines and efficient resource allocation during the launch ceremony.
