Agilitee, a South African-based green technology company has announced plans to launch its subsidiary in Kenya. The firm’s CEO, Mandla Lamba confirmed the report and said the move aims to power Africa’s drive towards the transition from fuel-powered vehicles to electric vehicles.
“Kenya is like the rest of the world headed to using electric cars and motorbikes to curb environmental pollution from petroleum fuels and one company is at the forefront of driving the change. Electric cars are already on the Kenyan roads and the infrastructure to support them is gradually building up. However, the government should be more supportive of the pioneering companies tapping into the climate resilience efforts in order to fast track the transition avoiding the case of being caught by surprise with the exacerbating climate shocks,” said Mandla.
