Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, has established a new nationwide fulfillment center at the Agility Logistics Park in Tema, Ghana. Under a 10-year lease agreement, Jumia will utilize a 6,000 square meter facility for warehousing, order fulfillment, and office space, supporting the storage and distribution of a wide range of products for its Ghanaian market.

Temidayo Ojo, CEO of Jumia Ghana, highlighted the choice of the Agility Logistics Park for its strategic location, minutes from Tema Port—one of West Africa’s largest ports. This proximity is expected to improve delivery speeds and efficiency across Ghana, allowing Jumia to meet the growing demands of local customers more effectively.

Modern infrastructure

Agility Africa’s CEO, Geoffrey White, emphasized that the park’s modern infrastructure and sustainability features, including energy- and water-saving designs, align with Jumia’s expansion needs. He noted that quality warehousing plays a crucial role in enabling e-commerce growth, an important factor as Ghana’s online shopping market expands rapidly.

“We are delighted that Jumia chose to make the Agility Global warehouse park in Tema its new home in Ghana. The location, modern infrastructure and services at ALP Ghana make it ideal for e-commerce operations. We’re confident that quality warehousing can assist Jumia to accelerate its growth and meet the demands of Ghana’s rapidly expanding online shopping market,” said CEO Geoffrey.

Jumia, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, currently operates in 11 African countries, providing its JumiaPay solution to facilitate secure online payments across the continent.
